How to remove an object from a photo with WipeObj
- Upload a photo. Click or drop a JPG, PNG or WebP. The image stays in your browser.
- Brush the object. Paint over the person, logo or clutter you want gone. Adjust brush size as needed.
- Press Remove. The local LaMa model fills the masked area. Download the PNG when you are happy.
Why use an AI object remover?
Travel shots pick up strangers, product photos pick up wires, and social posts pick up logos you cannot ship. An AI object remover wipes those pixels and reconstructs the background so the rest of the scene stays intact - no Photoshop layer stack required.
What WipeObj is built for
- Photobombs and crowds - clean travel and wedding candids.
- Ecommerce - remove dust, tags or reflections before listing.
- Real estate - tidy cords, bins or temporary clutter from room shots.
- Social & ads - erase watermarks or competing logos (only when you have the right to edit).
Private by design
WipeObj loads a quantized LaMa (Large Mask Inpainting) ONNX model into your browser and runs it with onnxruntime-web (WebGPU when available, WASM otherwise). Your photo is never uploaded. The first Remove downloads ~37 MB once; later visits reuse the browser cache.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI object remover?
An AI object remover lets you erase unwanted items from a photo - people in the background, logos, wires, photobombers - and fill the area so the background looks natural. WipeObj does this in your browser with a local LaMa model.
Does WipeObj really remove objects today?
Yes. Upload a photo, paint a brush mask, and press Remove. A LaMa inpainting model runs entirely in your browser via ONNX Runtime Web. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
Is WipeObj free?
Yes. No signup, no watermark, no per-image fee. The AI model downloads once (~37 MB) and is cached in your browser.
What photo formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP up to about 10 MB. Clear, well-lit photos with coherent backgrounds work best.
Is my photo private?
Yes. Your photo never leaves your device - mask painting and AI fill both run in the browser. See the Privacy page.
How is this different from a clone stamp or background remover?
A background remover cuts out a subject. An object remover keeps the scene and fills the hole left by the deleted object. Classic clone tools need manual copying; LaMa invents a plausible fill automatically.
